Billy Ray And Miley Cyrus Make Chart History

Miley Cyrus
This week, Miley Cyrus debuts with "The Climb" (Walt Disney/Hollywood/Lyric Street) at No. 48 and father Billy Ray bows with "Back to Tennessee" (Walt Disney/Lyric Street) at No. 59 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. Both songs will appear on the Walt Disney Records soundtrack, due March 24 and in the Walt Disney Pictures film, Hannah Montana The Movie, which opens nationwide in theaters April 10. Back To Tennessee is also the title track of Cyrus's upcoming CD, which will be released on April 7. This marks the first time in nearly twenty years that a father and daughter have appeared on the chart with separate solo singles. (Johnny and Rosanne Cash had separate singles on October 5, 1990.) "The Climb" (Walt Disney/Hollywood/Lyric Street) has been added to over 140 stations in 4 formats of radio in just 3 weeks, making it one of the most quickly added records of the year. It has hit the Top 30 on the Top 40 radio charts and is climbing rapidly at country and Hot AC formats. After a string of hit songs at country radio and the recent top five smash "Ready, Set, Don't Go," Billy Ray Cyrus's latest effort "Back To Tennessee" is climbing the country radio charts. Produced by Mark Bright (Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood), the album features 12 new tracks. Billy Ray co-wrote two of the tracks on the new project. In addition, country powerhouse writers Jeffrey Steele, Neil Thrasher, Craig Wiseman, Rivers Rutherford, Blair Daly, Troy Verges and Casey Beathard all contribute tunes to the new record. A musical highpoint in Hannah Montana The Movie, Billy Ray (as his character Robby Ray Stewart) performs "Back To Tennessee." Written by Cyrus, Tamara Dunn and Matthew Wilder, it is inspired by Billy Ray's longing to return to his roots and breathe the sweet southern air of his home state. Back To Tennessee will also contain a special extended version (4:44) of the father/daughter duet "Butterfly, Fly Away," which was produced by Glen Ballard. A 3:11 version of the duet appears in the film and on the soundtrack. When fans pre-order the deluxe version ($11.99), they will be able to download "The Climb" instantly, and music videos as well as a digital booklet when the soundtrack comes out.

'Watchmen' Conquers Box Office With $55.7 Million

Watchmen
LOS ANGELES (AP) — "Watchmen" clocked in with $55.7 million in ticket sales to claim the top spot at the box office, making director Zack Snyder's comic book adaptation about a team of twisted superheros the biggest opening of 2009 so far. Still, it was not quite as big as the $70 million take of Snyder's "300" in 2007. Dan Fellman, head of distribution for "Watchmen" studio Warner Bros., said it was unfair to compare the two films. "They're two different movies," Fellman said Sunday. "This is a movie that runs two hours and 45 minutes. That really only leaves the exhibitor with one showing a night. If you have an 8 o'clock show, the next show is at midnight. So with essentially one show a night, I think this is outstanding." Fans of the subversive comic book series by writer Alan Moore and illustrator Dave Gibbons waited years for Snyder's big-screen version. The anticipation was complicated last year when Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox fought over who owned rights to the $125 million film. The studios eventually settled in January, keeping the March 6 opening intact.

Season Three Of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Premieres This Sunday At 10pm pictures, photos, gallery

E! brings viewers back into the glamorous and chaotic world of the Kardashian family when the third season of the hit series Keeping Up with the Kardashians premieres Sunday, March 8 at 10:00 pm ET/PT. Although the family has always been steadfast in their devotion to each other, this season the intensity of living in the spotlight presents new challenges for the group. As Kim, Khloe and Kourtney advance in their professional careers, their growing fame gives new meaning to sibling rivalry and relations between the three tight-knit sisters are tested. Their increased exposure also brings added pressure to their personal lives as they deal with the fact that they are under even more scrutiny from the press. Mom and manager Kris is often caught in the middle, trying to balance between working through family dynamics and keeping everyone's careers on track.

In the first episode, Khloe receives a harsh reality check when she is sent to prison for not completing her required DUI classes. The negative buzz from the press surrounding her jail time makes her more reclusive and it is only through the urging and emotional support of her sisters that she is able to get out of bed and out the door. For Kris, going back to the courthouse brings up old memories of her ex-husband Robert Kardashian, and she finds herself struggling to come to terms with his death. With encouragement from Bruce and her own mother, Kris heads to the cemetery to visit Robert's gravesite and hopefully find some peace.

Life for the Kardashians this season is filled with ups and downs as each member struggles to find their place in the chaotic household. Kim is wary from her previous dancing experience and wants to back-out of her performance with the Pussy Cat Dolls the night before the event. However, her sister's convince her to go and the three head out to paint Vegas red. Khloe has always longed for a different body and looks into plastic surgery, but when PETA comes calling with an offer to do a nude photo shoot, she has the opportunity to believe in herself as much as everyone else does. Eldest sister Kourtney comes into her own when she books her first cover shoot for a magazine, but she is furious when Kris misses the shoot to be with Kim at an appearance in San Diego and stops speaking to them both. This season, the fun-loving and social butterfly Kris discovers she must find new ways to spend quality time with Bruce away from the Hollywood hotspots he loathes. At first she tries to join him in what he loves to do, but after crashing his favorite mechanical helicopter she is at a loss for ideas. At daughter Kylie's suggestion, Kris takes him on a motorcycle ride in the canyons of Los Angeles for a new kind of adventure. Meanwhile, youngest son Robert, Jr. and his girlfriend Adrienne Bailon of The Cheetah Girls are also working on their own relationship after they move to the next level and get a place together. The two lovebirds soon find out that sharing a household isn't as easy as he imagined it would be. "Keeping Up with the Kardashians was created by Ryan Seacrest and Eliot Goldberg, who serve as Executive Producers for Ryan Seacrest Productions. Jon Murray and Jeff Jenkins serve as Executive Producers and Farnaz Farjam serves as Co-Executive Producer for Bunim/Murray Productions.

Ivana Trump's Marriage Branded A 'Fake'

Ivana Trump's eight-month marriage to toy-boy Rossano Rubicondi was a business deal to help boost the Italian model's career, according to reports. The couple wed in a ceremony in Florida last April, but split in December, shortly after 36-year-old Rubicondi had appeared on the Italian version of reality TV show Survivor. Now sources tell the New York Daily News Rubicondi and Donald Trump's ex, 60, were never a real couple. An insider reveals, "Ivana wanted to be back in the limelight and Rossano's career needed a jump-start, so the couple agreed - via a contract - to the nuptials." A representative for Trump could not be reached to confirm or deny the reports.

Dakota Fanning child photos

Dakota Fanning is in talks to join Twilight star Kristen Stewart in rock 'n' roll biopic Runaways. The 15 year old is slated to play Runaways singer Cheri Currie in the film, in which Stewart will play guitarist Joan Jett. Ironically, Currie became a music star at 15 as the Runaways lead singer. And it might not be the only time Fanning and Stewart will be working together this year - the teenage star is also in talks to play a vampire leader in the Twilight sequel New Moon. Meanwhile, Jett, who is a consultant on Runaways, recently cooed about the casting of Stewart as herself, stating, "When her hair is cut and with the right make-up, Kristen should make a really good me... She has the passion for it, which you can't really be taught."
